The Ring is an influential Japanese horror film that introduced many people to Japanese horror films. The plot and cinematography are both exhilarating and exciting, making you want to watch the entire film even if you are too terrified too! The plot revolves around Reiko Asakawa, a TV station director who becomes obsessed with the odd deaths of four people who were interviewed about a Japanese urban legend. What’s weird is that they’ve all watched a “curse video” that claims anyone who watches it will die 7 days later. Reiko investigates their deaths further and obtains a video of the true curse. Following the viewing of the contents, odd occurrences began to occur one after the other around Reiko. Will she be able to break the curse? Or will she become the fifth death? The plot revolves around Rika Nishina, a college student who volunteers to care for a bedridden old man named Yukie Tokunaga. Rika pays a visit to his residence one day and sees some strange items. Rika notices Yukie’s unusual appearance in a poorly lit room after being surprised by the stench and strewn objects across the house. The bodies of the son and his wife can also be located behind the ceiling.

One Missed Call

One Missed Called is a 2003 Japanese horror film about a cursed phone call that cannot be avoided. Yumi Nakamura and Yoko are the main characters, and the story begins with a bizarre call received on Yoko’s phone. Yoko herself answered the phone with her own voice. Yoko dies of an unknown cause three days later. The same thing happened to Yumi and Yoko’s buddy, who received an incoming call and died shortly after.

Yumi’s childhood friend, Natsumi Konishi, eventually received the phone call, and Yumi strives to save her childhood buddy. Finally, Yumi receives a phone call. Will she be able to endure this lethal curse?
