Will ‘Happiness’ Receive A Second Season?
The apocalyptic thriller ‘Happiness,’ starring Park Hyung-sik and Han Hyo-joo. However, many netizens are guessing that we will get a second season, citing the fact that there is still so much to unpack in the drama that it appears tough to wrap it up in two episodes.
To the dismay of viewers, a source from tvN has revealed that there would be no second season.
“Happiness has never evaluated or discussed a seasonal system, so it will conclude with episode 12 as scheduled,” he said.
Personally, I am relieved that it is not getting a second season, because it has been fast-paced thus far, and with the potential of a second season, there isn’t enough left to develop a whole season around it.
On the other side, I wish we got a proper ending with all of the explanations, rather than an open or rushed ending that leaves you with more questions than answers, as in ‘Hellbound.’ What are your thoughts? Do you believe a second season is necessary?
