I’m Not a Robot is a charming love story. Storyline of the ‘I Am Not A Robot’
Event of a serious aversion to physical contact with other humans, Kim Min-kyu (Yoo Seung-ho) lives a comfortable but isolated life. He develops existing rashes when he comes into contact with any sort of skin. Jo Ji-ah (Chae Soo-bin) is attempting to turn her innovations into businesses, most notably two networked heart-shaped lamps.
KM Financial’s chairman and main shareholder is Min-kyu. His interests were passed down to him from his parents, who perished in a car accident 15 years prior. His father’s friend and colleague, Hwang Do-won (Son Byong-ho), raised him, and his son, Hwang Yeo-chul (Kang Ki-young), is Min-age kyu’s and the CEO of KM Financial.
The Santa Maria team is owned by KM Financial. Professor Hong Baek-gyun leads the team (Um Ki-joon). Professor Hong’s team has covertly developed AG3 (pronounced Aji 3), a highly advanced humanoid robot modelled after his ex-girlfriend Ji-ah (the robot’s name is Ji-a [AJI 3] backward).
Hwang Yeo-chul and his father, Hwang Do-won, want to sell the Santa Maria team to Bold Group, which is run by Martin, a new buyer who has discovered the Aji 3 and wishes to use that as a weapon. Baek-gyun delivers the robot to Kim Min-kyu as a demonstration to persuade him not to sell the Santa Maria team.
That robot short-circuits just before Aji 3 is delivered, so Baek-gyun begs Ji-ah to act as the robot, giving the team time to repair Aji 3. Ji-ah complies, desperate for the ten million won he offers her, and impersonates the robot under the watch of something like the Santa Maria team.

Min-kyu gradually falls in love with Ji-ah, believing her to be Aji 3. Because she is a robot to him, he is upset by this and “reboots” her, wiping the robot’s memory. Ji-ah is later replaced by the actual Aji 3 by Baek-gyun. Ji-Ah, who has fallen in love with Min-kyu as well, flees the city to forget about him.
Min-kyu suffers a strong allergic reaction after discovering Ji-lie ah’s and that she had been pretending to be the robot. Min-kyu is enraged when Baek-gyun rescues him, and he cuts up all of his relationships and friendships with them because of their betrayal and playing with his affections. Ji-ah tells Min-kyu all of that and declares her love for him, and the two renew their love, this time as humans.
Aji 3 had kept all of the video footage and data from the trials with Kim Min-kyu in a hidden stash before even the reboot. This cache is hacked, disclosing all of Min-medical kyu’s information.
This information is utilized to try to take over KM Financial, oust Min-kyu as chairman, and finish the sale of the Santa Maria team and Aji 3. At the last moment, Min-kyu manages to foil the effort. He uncovers evidence that links Chairman Park’s assassination to Hwang Do-won and Martin, and returns the Aji 3 to the Santa Maria team. After 2 years, the Santa Maria team has successfully launched a new robot with a different appearance, and they, along with Ji-ah and Min-kyu (who have completed the necessary military service), are happy with their new life.

Season 1 of ‘I’m Not A Robot’ premiered on December 6, 2017. The show became extremely successful, with ratings rising with each new episode. The drama exceeded the record for most views set by ‘Descendants of the Sun,’ one of the most popular K-dramas in the world, on a global scale.
