Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor, Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Zach Braff star in the film. Moonshot : Plot Explanation

Sophie (Lana Condor), like many other 20-somethings her age, is faced with a plethora of options. There’s the future, the family, and the job, to be sure. But it’s the big decision, the one that stands out—what to do about him—that has her stumped. Her long-term boyfriend, Calvin (Mason Gooding), has relocated with his family and taken a job outside of town. It’s a long distance out of town, in other words.

Moonshot

Calvin was supposed to be on a temporary assignment as a published scientist, but “temporary” is starting to feel more like “permanent.” There’s also Walt (Cole Sprouse), who is faced with options as well, although perhaps not as many. He’s comfortable with his solitary existence and his dead-end assistant barista job in a college bookstore.

That is, until he meets Ginny (Emily Rudd), and the hours he spends with her from sunset until sunrise convince him that she is the one. Time flies when you’re having fun. But, alas, Ginny wakes up at the crack of dawn, ready to embark on her new life. “Moonshot,” a romantic comedy with a twist, follows Walt and Sophie as they band together to reunite with their significant others, embarking on an exciting journey that takes them both wildly and unexpectedly off course.

Cast of The Moonshot

Cole Sprouse and Lana Condor are in charge of the Moonshot cast. In Hollywood, Sprouse has established quite a name for himself. As a kid actor, he appeared in Big Daddy starring Adam Sandler, worked on the hit programme Friends, and co-starred in The Suite Life of Zach & Cody with his twin brother. Sprouse is well known to fans for his portrayal as Jughead Jones on Riverdale.

Moonshot

Condor hasn’t been in the entertainment industry as long as Condor, but she’s built a reputation for herself. Condor has been in the popular To All the Boys flicks since her first significant appearance as Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Mr. Scrubs himself, Zach Braff, will accompany these two on their interstellar adventure. This will be Braff’s second film premiere in a month, following the successful release of Cheaper by the Dozen on Disney Plus.

Michelle Buteau (First Wives Club), Mason Gooding (Love, Victor), and Christine Adams are among the other famous actors in Moonshot (Black Lightning).

Moonshot: Released Date

Moonshot will be available for streaming on HBO Max on March 31, 2022.

Trailer for The Moonshot

The trailer opens in a college coffee shop, where the protagonists Walt and Sophie are introduced. Walt, the coffee shop barista, and Sophie, a woman who has her entire life planned out on her Ipad, become good friends at some point despite their personalities being poles opposite.

Sophie informs Walt of her plans to travel to Mars to meet her boyfriend. Walt walks with Sophie to the launch site to drop her off, but instead of returning, he chooses to sneak in on the shuttle. The amazing views of outer space that follow will make all viewers wish to take that trip in person.
