My Love from the Star: Ending Explanation
Some say it’s an ambiguous open ending, but I didn’t think so. Min Joon had to return home since his health was deteriorating, but we can see how hard he is fighting to return in the most recent episode. He appears for a few seconds here, a few minutes there, and eventually manages to stay for days, weeks, or even months. They may not know how long he will be there or IF he will be able to return after that, but he keeps trying, and they always say they are enjoying the time they have. They make the most of their relationship and love, which is a happy ending in my book.
Min-Joon departs Earth at the conclusion of the season because remaining for too long would kill him, although he returns to see Song-Yi on occasion.

What Could Be the Storyline for My Love from the Star Season 2
The story revolves around Do-Min-Joon, an alien who landed on Earth in the year 1609 and saved a girl named Yi-Hwa. However, in his haste to save the girl, he misses his flight back to his home planet and is forced to stay on Earth, taking on various identities throughout his stay. He’s worked as a doctor, astronomer, lawyer, and banker, among other things.
In the present day, Cheon Song-Yi, a well-known Hallyu actress, is living next door to Min-Joon. Min-Joon is only three months away from returning to his home planet, but he is head over heels in love with Song-Yi, who looks a lot like Yi-Hwa.
Season 2 of My Love from the Star Has Been Officially Announced
The show’s second season has indeed been revealed by the show’s director, Jang Tae Yong, who claims that preparations for the second season are now underway. He also stated that returning Jun Ji-Hyun and Kim-Soo-Hun would be difficult.
As a result, it’s possible that the characters may be recast, or that the second season will be a prequel, as this program has a lot of world-building and hence many storyline possibilities for a new season. It will be released in the middle of 2022.
Cast: My Love from the Star Season 2
It is difficult for the two main lead actors to return, according to the show’s director, Jang Tae-Yoo, however it is not uncommon for filmmakers to deceive their fans in order to create a surprise. Cheon Song-Yi is played by Jun Ji-Hyon, Do Min-Joon is played by Kim Soo-Hyun, Lee Hee- Kyung is played by Park Hae- Jin, Yoo Se-Mi is played by Yoo In Na.
Lee Jae-Kyung is played by Shin Sung Rok and Ahn Jae-Hyun as Cheon Yoon-Jae are all expected to return for the second season. With the exception of Jun Ji Hyon and Kim Soo-Hyun, if Season 2 is a straight-up prequel, most of the characters and cast members are likely to be new.
