Review of the Sweet Home
When his family dies, Cha Hyun-soo, a despondent kid, moves into the Green House apartment. He as well as the other tenants of something like the building are now in the midst of an apocalypse, and they must defend themselves against hungry monsters. There’s also the fact that those who are assaulted by monsters become contaminated and eventually transform into monsters.
Despite monsters attacking parts of the building and a few individuals becoming infected & turning into creatures, it’s up to the remaining residents to hold down the fort, make tough decisions, and keep themselves safe and alive.
Although there will be a lot of horrors, gore, and bloodshed, the underpinning plot will also explore the people’s personal lives. Naturally, some characters are called upon to serve as leaders and heroes, while others, despite their circumstances, prove to be troublemakers in disguise.
Keep an eye out for the following items: Lee Do-hyuk, a medical student, assumes the position of the surviving group’s leader, trying to plan safety measures, rationing food, and making harsh decisions on the group’s behalf. He is also the silent protective brother to the carefree, blunt, and headstrong Eun-yu, who appears to have a grudge against her brother.
Seo Yi-kyeong, a former firefighter who is also skilled in martial arts, proves to be one of the survivors’ most valuable assets. Seo is leaning over backwards to learn the truth about her fiancé’s disappearance two days before the wedding, which she suspects has something to do with a secret testing mission in relation to the government’s ongoing monster invasion.
Pyeon Sang-wook is indeed an outcast, a stranger with scars on his face who appears to be a mobster but is actually on his own quest.
Infected humans manifest as a variety of creatures, many of which represent their darkest desires. There seems to be a gleam of hope there, considering monsters aren’t all awful, bloodthirsty beasts.
Others with honorable intentions appear to be able to overcome their inner beast and even achieve superhuman power whenever they need it of the most. Pyeon Sang-wook and our unassuming hero – the formerly suicidal youngster Cha Hyun-soo – are two examples of these individuals who emerge as the group’s most valuable assets.
Because of the multiple underlying narratives of the various characters – both great and tiny – one does not need to be a horror fan to appreciate this series. However, if you prefer witnessing zombies other mysterious monsters kill and swallow blood and intestines, the series offers plenty of horrifying and startling scenes.
To say the least, the action is terrific, and the drama is endearing on multiple levels. While the title of the series is somewhat antithetical to the reality of people trapped in it, it does appear in a rather sweet sequence, so keep an eye out for it.
Season 1 ends with some heart-breaking goodbyes, but there are so many story threads yet to be investigated that you can’t bring me to look forward to the following season’s release.

When Will Season 2 of Sweet Home Be Released?
Sweet Home’s first season premiered on Netflix in December of 2020, so fans may have to wait a long for more episodes. That series is still yet to be formally renewed for a second season, however, given the short period of time it has been on the air, a season 2 is still conceivable.
The coronavirus pandemic has made shooting more difficult than it would have been otherwise, as it has for many shows in the past year. If “Sweet Home” does come back, it may be after a long hiatus. The success of the show will ultimately determine whether or not it is renewed for a second season. Even if it launched months ago, there’s still time for someone to get new followers upon that platform, which will assist to increase its viewership and ensure that it is renewed.
