Nevertheless, with Yeon’s disappearance, the mountains became susceptible, and humans quickly invade and set fire to the area. Lee Rang, Yeon’s half-brother, flees the mountain and swears retribution on all mortals.

Later, Yeon confronts Rang in order to carry out the Immortal soul Judges’ order to put Rang to death because he has slain far too many innocent people. Yeon lives in the city with Goo Shin-Joo, his loyal follower and fellow gumiho. Rang, on the other hand, with the support of Ki Yoo-Ri. As a manner of antagonising his brother, he repeatedly injured mortals. Yeon met Nam Ji-ah, a skilled and brave producer at TVC Station, while working on a mission. Ji-ah was saved from a vehicle accident while she was a child by Yeon. She bears a striking resemblance to Ah-eum.

The parents are ostensibly killed in the crash, but Ji-ah believes they are still alive. Since their bodies have never been recovered, and Yeon is the only clue she has, she is determined to find them. When the fox bead appears on her, it is revealed that she is Ah-reincarnation. eum’s Yeon promises to protect her at all costs so that she can live longer in this life.
