The Mist is a Christian Torpe-created American science fiction/horror thriller television series. It is based on Stephen King’s horror novella of the same name from 1980. From June 22 through August 24, 2017, the series aired on Spike for a 10-episode season. The series was later canceled by Spike on September 27 of the same year.
The Mist: Ending Explanation
Kevin is discovered at Adrian’s residence by Vic, who has stayed behind. They arrive at a residence, where Kevin admits Adrian sexually assaulted Alex. They decide to go to the mall by breaking into a house every few minutes, but eventually, come across a house with dead soldiers inside, and come across a living man who activates a grenade, allowing the mist to enter, causing Kevin to see Officer Pundik, Mike, and Nash, who all taunt him for his actions toward them.
After that, he sees an apparition of himself, which he kills, before he and Vic steal the soldiers’ car and drive to the mall, where Kevin enters. Adrian, Mia, and Jonah arrive at the mall, where Adrian splits apart from the others in order to locate Alex. He locates Eve and Alex and informs them that Kevin has died. Gus and the rest of the main group are on the lookout for them. When they’re apprehended, they’re put in the same room as Jay. When Wes comes across Jonah, he grabs him and knocks him out.
Wes salutes Jonah and addresses him as “sir” as he awakens. Trevor breaks his leg while traveling through the sewers to reach the mall, and Ursula refuses to leave him; Connor stabs her and tosses her down a ladder, leaving them to be devoured alive by rats. Kevin confronts Adrian and punches him mercilessly for rapping Alex and abandoning him at Adrian’s parents’ house. He hears from Adrian that the mall survivors intend to cast Alex into the mist because they believe she murdered Shelley, and he sets out with Mia to save her. Connor and Nathalie arrive at the mall after Nathalie convinces Connor that Jay’s death will put an end to the Black Spring.
Connor makes his way to the mall’s entrance after offering Jay to the mist when Eve informs him that Alex is his daughter. When Kimi objects to their expulsion, Kyle kills her. Outside, Alex is saved from the mist by Jay, who then watches helplessly as the mist kills him from his automobile. Kevin drives his car through the mall’s entrance, letting the mist inside kill the survivors, including Nathalie, while Gus locks himself in his office.
Connor joins them and assists in removing the automobile from the destroyed entrance. When the party spies a train and follows it to the nearest station, they are stunned to see armed men sacrificing civilians to the mist.
