Benedek Fliegauf is the writer and director of the 2010 movie “The Womb.” The key characters of this science fiction drama movie are Eva Green and Matt Smith. For its DVD release, the movie’s title was eventually changed to Clone. The protagonist of the tale is a lady whose overwhelming love compels her to carry the child of her presumably deceased loved one. She had to deal with certain difficulties that she could not have avoided since she was making such a contentious choice. The love, incest, and liberation of women are the three main themes of the movie.

Storyline

On a gloomy day, the movie’s opening scene is filmed at a beach. On the veranda of her home, Eva Green is observed meditating while she enjoys tea. Pregnancy is already far along for her. She knows that the guy who gave birth to her kid will never come back, and she believes that the child is the only thing she would have wanted from him if he had stayed. When she considers all the events that have led up to this point, she begins to grin.

The eternal love tale of Rebecca and Tommy would then be revealed to the audience. The couple becomes estranged when Rebecca abruptly departs for Japan with her mother. Twelve years later, Rebecca makes a comeback to find Tommy, the love of her life, and the two fall in love. Tommy remembers Rebecca and still cares about her deeply. Tommy is a political activist who has been seen fighting biotech companies and has plans to open a new natural park that will be home to creatures that were cloned artificially. He also intends to sabotage the inaugural event by allowing cockroaches to be placed inside bags.

Rebecca, on the other hand, is a computer application for underground storage container leak detection and containment software. She is adamant about going with Tommy. Rebecca begged Tommy to stop the car as they traveled through a desolate wilderness to the new natural park because she needed to discharge herself next to the road. Tommy exits the vehicle in the interim. When he does this, he becomes trapped and is fatally struck by a passing car, and the narrative continues.

Review

The movie has received a variety of reviews, with a 4.9 out of 10 average score on Rotten Tomatoes. The Oedipus Complex hypothesis, which holds that there is an unconscious desire for a son to have sex with his mother, is closely related to the narrative of the movie.
