Release Date for The Sequel To There’s Someone Inside Your House

‘There’s Someone Inside Your House’ premiered at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas on September 23, 2021. The film was originally scheduled to be released in February 2021, however, it was finally released on Netflix on October 6, 2021. Let’s look at the possibility of a sequel now.

The director has remained tight-lipped regarding a sequel in the media, and we don’t know for sure whether that is what he has in mind. If we venture into the realm of speculation, the film has performed admirably on the streaming platform since its premiere.

Though the reviews were divided to some level because the film incorporates several slasher horror genre tropes, they seemed to admire the cast ensemble’s seamless dynamic.

There’s Someone Inside Your House

The film’s larger breadth of representation and depiction of chaotic teenage angst connected particularly well with Gen Z consumers. By depicting nuanced individuals on film and keeping the plot grounded in the characters’ lives, the director appears to have strayed from the road taken by previous chapters of the genre. There’s a lot of intrigue here, and it’s capped off with some gory murder scenarios. As a result, the film has enough genre appeal to appeal to genre lovers while still having enough attractiveness to appeal to those outside of the target demographic.

There’s Someone Inside Your House

Although most coming-of-age films are one-offs, slasher horror is a genre that has spawned numerous spin-offs and sequels. The genre’s trend-setters, ‘Scream’ and ‘Friday the 13th,’ have each spawned several sequels, so the prospect of a sequel for this film cannot be ruled out.

Patrick Brice is a director who isn’t afraid of sequels, as seen by the fact that in ‘Creep 2,’ he continued the tale of his 2014 film ‘Creep.’ According to the director himself, there will be a third installment titled ‘Creep 3,’ which will be released in 2017.

However, given the film’s finale, we’re not sure if there’s room for the tale to be expanded further. The film uses practically all of its source material, and Zach is slain by Makani in the climactic scene. After graduation, Makani marries Ollie and carries on with her life. Nonetheless, the director may resurrect the serial killer archetype in a different environment and with a different character in order to reveal even more devastating revelations.

There’s Someone Inside Your House

‘Creep’ was supposed to be a trilogy, but since the filmmaker hasn’t said anything about a sequel, we’re afraid the film will be a one-off. The filmmaker and producers Shawn Levy and James Wan may collaborate on further genre-bending films for Netflix. With that said, a sequel to ‘There’s Someone Inside Your House’ is extremely unlikely to be developed.
